I recently came across the portfolio of Swedish Photographer Denise Grünstein. Below are some of the images that intrigued me into looking at more of her work and feeling all the more inspired.
What first drew my attention was the possible inspirations from movies such as ‘The Strangers’ and the way the images seem haunting. I can easily be attach these to my own memories of dark fairy tales, and recent research on the use of fantasy in today’s media. Here I feel the images although sometimes dark and haunting also represent the romance often described in the world of fairy tales. Some of her other work instantly reminded me of one of my favourite Photographers Tim Walker. Check out more of here work here.
